The USAnotebook.com limited warranty applies to every one of our refurbished laptops. Parts and labor are covered for the time period specified on the product information page at the time of purchase. Plus with selected laptops you also have the choice of buying an additional warranty.
The Brand New laptops' standard warranty is 1 Year direct with the Manufacturer.
The standard limited warranty period for most refurbished USAnotebook laptops is 6 months on labor and 3 months on parts and components, unless otherwise stated on the invoice or product information page at time of purchase.
The warranty period will be reflected on your invoice and what’s more, the warranty is effective, not from the date you place your order, but from the date you actually receive your laptop.
Every refurbished laptop computer that leaves our premises has been thoroughly evaluated and tested. This includes an extensive examination of all hardware components, a complete functional diagnostic test and a performance test, before cosmetically inspecting and cleaning each laptop for optimum appearance.
In addition, many of our refurbished laptops are still under manufacturer warranty, which means you can get warranty assistance directly from the manufacturer. Just click on the "More Info" button next to the product listings on our website to find out if the laptop you’re interested in has remaining manufacturer warranty.
Either way you will be covered by USAnotebook.com warranty for the period as stated above, should the manufacturer’s warranty expire beforehand.
REQUESTING WARRANTY SERVICE
To request Warranty Service, you must contact USAnotebook.com within the warranty period and inform us about the problem. To do so, please click here to email us or simply call us at +1 (954) 941-8066.
Once you contact us, we will first try to remedy the situation. In most cases a simple solution is close at hand. However, if we determine that Warranty Service is required, USAnotebook.com will issue a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
USAnotebook.com will not process any warranty claim that has not been issued an RMA number. Any laptops received without an RMA number will be returned.
You will then need to send the laptop back for repair.
You must be aware that you are responsible for the payment of shipping the laptop back to us on all warranty claims. Shipping charges are non-refundable.
You may choose any means of return shipping you wish. Obviously the quicker it gets to us, the quicker we can perform the warranty service. You must use a carrier with a tracking service and insure your return shipment so that there is no danger of loss or of further damage to your laptop. However we must reiterate that whatever shipping method you choose will be at your expense.
Sending your return package:
Please follow the instructions below to ensure the safe transit of your laptop computer:
Upon receipt of your laptop, it will be evaluated and tested for the specific problem you described. It will be at USAnotebook.com's sole discretion as to whether we repair or replace the laptop or it’s respective parts, peripherals or accessories.
- Safely pack the laptop and all the accessories into the original box in which it arrived. Please make sure that there is ample protective material around the laptop and any accessories.
- Write the RMA number on the outside of the box. Please note that we do not accept shipments without an RMA number. Packages that arrive without the RMA number will be returned.
- Call a carrier or drop off the box at the nearest shipping facility. We suggest you use FedEx, UPS or DHL to ship the laptop back to us. These companies provide you with a tracking number at the time of shipping so please keep that number as a proof that you sent the laptop back to us.
- Make sure that you insure the laptop for the amount of your original purchase price. It is your responsibility to make sure that we receive the laptop and that it arrives without any physical damage. If it gets lost or stolen or gets damaged during shipping, the insurance is the only way to get reimbursed.
We aim to resolve all warranty claims within 72 hours of the laptop being received by us.
Once the warranty service is performed we will return your laptop by UPS Ground (within the United States) at our expense. You are welcome to request a more expeditious service, though you will be billed for the difference in shipping costs. Alternatively, we can bill your own account with FedEx, UPS or DHL for the shipping method of your choosing.
The USAnotebook.com warranty does not cover hardware or other peripherals attached to the laptop except for those already supplied at the time of purchase. Likewise any software or operating system not already pre-loaded onto your laptop at the time of purchase is not covered by this warranty. As you would expect, USAnotebook.com does not take responsibility for any physical damage that occurs after you’ve received your laptop. We make every effort to ensure that your battery is fully functional before being sent to you. If for some reason it is dead on arrival we will be happy to replace it, in accordance with the shipping arrangements as listed above. However, the USAnotebook.com warranty does not guarantee any specific battery life, and we urge you to read the instructions on our FAQ page for optimal battery longevity.
We understand that sometimes your needs change and the laptop you purchased no longer meets your requirements. If that's the case, please don't hesitate to call us and ask about the upgrade possibilities. Based on the time you've had the laptop we'll calculate its value and you can then return it for credit towards a future purchase. Please note that the same shipping conditions apply as described above.
We hope that you will enjoy your laptop and that you’ll refer us to your friends. But, if within 7 days of the date on the invoice you wish to return your laptop there are two options.
- Return for Store Credit
If you would like to return your laptop for store credit, then please call us to advise us of your intention. Your return must be authorized by one of our sales representatives and your return must be made within 7 days of the date of the invoice. Credit will not include shipping and will be equal to the full purchase price of the laptop ONLY. You can then use your store credit towards the future purchase of any laptop in our entire inventory.
- Return for Refund
If you are not interested in store credit, you may return your laptop within 7 days of the date on your invoice, but your return must be authorized by one of our sales representatives and your return will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. Refunds will not include shipping and will be based on the purchase price of the laptop ONLY.
For all Returns, please note:
- Shipping charges are non-refundable
- Return shipping charges are at your expense
- Credit will only be issued after we have verified that your laptop has been received in the condition in which it was sent
